Mike MacCallum Ph.D.

Mike MacCallum, PhD, is the former Dean, Financial Aid, EOPS, and Veterans Affairs at Long Beach City College. On June 30, 2011, his job was eliminated due to budget cuts and he returned to the classroom to teach astronomy full time. A Vietnam veteran (1/22nd Infantry, 4th ID, 1967/68), he began working with veterans at Long Beach City College as a part time counselor in 1976. It has been his great honor to come to know and to work with the current generation of veterans for whom he has the greatest respect.
