Kenneth Meehan, Ph.D.

Director of Institutional Research
Fullerton College

Dr. Kenneth Meehan is the Director of Institutional Research at Fullerton College, where he created the Institutional Research Office in 1998. He is currently the President Elect of the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges and former editor of the RP eJournal of Research, Planning and Practice. Ken has served as the Southwest Regional Director of the National Council for Research and Planning and is active in AIR and NCRP. He has consulted with the National Center for Educational Statistics and served as the statewide IPEDS trainer for California. Ken also served on the National Joint Commission on Accountability Reporting, statewide Transfer Data Technical Workgroup and currently sits on the Advisory Committee for the National Study of Community College Instructional Costs and Productivity and provides research consultation to the Statewide Academic Senate and the Algebra Pathways Project. He recently served as Director of the Institute for the Practice of Research and Planning in the California Community Colleges at UC Berkeley.

Dr. Meehan holds degrees in psychology from Georgetown University (B.S.), California State University, Fullerton (M.A.), and the University of Hawaii at Manoa (Ph.D.). He has held a variety of teaching and research positions over the past 25 years and has authored several hundred professional publications and presentations. Most recently, he has been working with the Chancellor's Office on issues of access and success in the California Community Colleges.
