Craig Yamamoto
Financial Services Manager
Sierra College, California
Craig Yamamoto currently serves as the Financial Services Manager for Sierra College. He has been involved in the Financial Aid Community since 1981 when he became a Financial Aid Advisor at Sacramento City College. Since then he has had comprehensive experience in the administration and delivery of financial aid including being a Financial Aid Technician at Cosumnes River College, a Student Loan Processor, Financial Aid Validation Manager, and Associate Director at California State University, Sacramento. Additionally, in 1998 he was employed by EdFund as a Business Analyst Manager. Among his colleagues, Craig is considered a leading authority on Student Loans.
Craig is an active member of the California Community College Student Financial Aid Administrators Association. He represented the association as President in 2004 and has held numerous other positions in the association including heading up both the State Issues and the Federal Issues Initiatives. He has been active in CASFA, California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, an organization that represents all colleges and universities in the state, as well as NASFA, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
Craig earned both a B.A. and an M.A. in Music from California State University, Sacramento. He also has an A.A. in Fine Arts from Sacramento City College.
