The upcoming Community College League of California Conference in San Jose on November 15-17 will feature several workshops and sessions of particular interest to CSSO’s and CIO’s. These select sessions were developed by the two organizations as partners with CCLC. There will be a joint effort to discuss Basic Skills as the Foundation for Student Success; assessment issues will be addressed in Assessment: A CIO/CSSO Perspective to Improve Student Success. A session to examine the proposed changes in Title 5 revisions in A Visit to the World of Title 5: How the Recent Revisions Impact Curriculum and Instruction will be of interest as will a presentation on Virginia Tech and Beyond: Student Discipline, Mental Health, and Threat Assessment. The Chancellor’s Office will review the progress and next steps in Student Services Program Review and Technical Assistance Site Visits. There will also be a session on Instructional Issues in Collective Bargaining. These are just a few of the presentations, many interactive, where you can gain new insights while meeting colleagues from all over the state. See you there!
