Staff Development Calendar

This calendar provides an overview of key conferences and workshops of interest to community college professionals. Key conference highlights are attached to the CIO/CSSO Conference and the NASPA Conference.
Key dates of interest to chief student service officers, chief academic officers, and other professionals in the field. Information on 4C2S2A events should be available toward the end of the summer. NASPA Annual National Conference
March 8-12
at the Hynes Convention Center and the Sheraton and Marriott Hotels in the Copley Place Center, Boston, Massachusetts. The Community College Institute on Managing Incivility, Disruptive Students, Mental Health Issues and Campus Safety at Community Colleges is a pre-conference all day on March 11, 2008. African American Male Summit: A Critical Examination of Institutional Barriers in Community Colleges

California Community Colleges Student Services Annual Conference: It Takes a College…
April 9–11, The Westin Los Angeles Airport, 5400 West Century Blvd., Los Angeles, California 90045. Registration and hotel information are posted on http://www.cccco.edu/divisions/ss/ss.htm, with the "Call for Presentations." Conference Registration: Fees for the 3-day conference are $275 if postmarked by March 3, or $325 if postmarked later. Pre-conference activities on April 8 have an additional fee of $75 if postmarked by March 3, or $100 if postmarked later. Hotel Reservations: Make reservations by March 13 to guarantee rates of $110 single/double ($120 triple). Reservations made after that date are on a space available basis only. The UC/CSU/CCC Sustainability Conference
July 31–August 3, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Registration opens in March. The Sustainability Conference was established in 2001 to exchange best practices between people engaged in, or seeking to learn more about, campus sustainability—from teaching and academic research to all aspects of campus operations. The 2008 Sustainability Conference will be hosted at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, the first time ever at a CSU campus.
